Agent Disclaimer
Euro Car acts only as an agent to provide a car hire reservation service. The contract for the car hire is with the rental company and signed by the client at the time of delivery. No liability can be accepted for injury or damage, howsoever caused to any person or property. We strongly advise all clients to familiarise themselves with the rental conditions, insurance and condition of car before signing their contract with the rental company.
Rental Contract Terms and Conditions
1. The renter will return the vehicle together with car documents,
all tyres, accessories and equipment in the place and at the time
specified. The renter will be held liable to pay all costs for failure
to comply with this condition. Any extension of the rental period
must be notified to the nearest office with at least 24 hours in
advance. The renter will be held liable to pay the extension plus
80% extra expenses for failure to comply with this condition.
2. The renter is liable to pay leasor on demand all fines and court
costs for parking, traffic and other legal violations against the
vehicle during the term of agreement, except where caused through
the fault of leasor.
3. The renter will pay all the costs of collision repairs or damages
to said vehicle if he/she has not accepted and paid the premium
for comprehensive insurance.
4. The following are not included by comprehensive insurance:
a) Loss or damage of any tyre, including spare, tools, documents
and accessories.
b) Damage caused to vehicle by:
- Transporting more passengers than those specified by the vehicle manufacturers.
- Being used by any other person without authorisation of the leasor.
- Being used for sports competitions or competitions of any kind.
- Parking in prohibited zones or dangerous places.
- Being driven off the road or over ground which would cause any
damage to the car.
- Being driven under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
5. Renter agrees to protect interests of leasor in case of accident
during the term of the rental agreement by
a) Obtaining name and addresses of parties involved and of witnesses.
b) Not admitting liability or guilt.
c) Not abandoning said vehicle without adequate provisions for safeguarding
and securing same.
d) Calling immediately the nearest station/office of the leasor
by telephone.
e) Notifying the police immediately if another party's guilt is
ascertained or if people are injured.
6. The leasor whilst taking all precautions and making efforts to
prevent such happenings, shall not be liable for mechanical failure
of said vehicle or consequential damages.
7. It is totally prohibited to transport the vehicle to another
island. All costs and expenses will be the renter's responsibility
for failure to comply with this condition.
8. That this agreement be construed in accordance with the laws
of the country where this Agreement is signed and that both parties
agree to submit themselves to the courts of the province of Las
Palmas.
Notification of change to terms and conditions:
Please note that from Aug. 24th 2004 a surcharge of 20 € applies for anybody
arriving and collecting their vehicle after 22:00 local time. This surcharge
will also apply to late arrivals.
